Shopping for Jobs and Growth – New from Y Research
2017 Metropolitan Perth
Shopping Centre Development Report
A wave of shopping centre developments has commenced across metropolitan Perth. Between 2016 and 2021, shopping centre development worth an estimated $5.1 billion dollars is set to redefine the shopping experience for West Australians. Aside from new international retailers, shopping centres are expanding to become community focal points providing extra dining, entertainment, civic and community uses into centres including child cares, gyms and even concert facilities.
Importantly these developments are also set to be major drivers of employment growth in WA – nearly 50,000 jobs will be created in the construction and operations of new developments.
If you are interested in working in this growing sector of the WA property market – Y Research’s annual Metropolitan Perth Shopping Centre Development Report details the current status of 49 developments in shopping centres across the Perth metropolitan region from Alkimos in the north to Austin Lakes in the south.
